Hello Parents and hello to Max, Lawrence, Eva and Daniels!
Here we are in Valmeinier! The journey yesterday was a long one but at last we arrived. It was past ten o' clock by the time everyone got to bed and we all slept like logs.
We woke up this morning to beautiful sunshine so we took this photo. It is so cold there are ice crystals in the air. Although there isn't as much snow as in previous years at the moment, there is plenty on the slopes and the children are looking forward to their first lesson tomorrow. Snow is predicted for tomorrow, however, and we're hopeful that there will be some more at the weekend.
Everyone is happy and the rooms are very tidy at the moment: Daniel and Patrick will begin serious room inspections tomorrow.
We spent this morning doing snow art and this afternoon having a look round Valmeinier, finishing with a drink in one of the cafes near the ski slopes. We're all looking forward to dinner -the food's great!
