We all had a lovely morning in Valloire looking at the huge blocks of ice being made into sculptures and talking to the people who were creating them. We learned that they start with a series of exact mathematical drawings before they start cutting the ice. One of the artists we spoke to said he was a sculptor of marble and metal and that all the artists worked on the ice for free.
After that we had a walk round the very pretty town and of course this included visits to gift shops!
Finally, I've included a few photos taken in the dining room so you can see what lovely food we're given.
